Experience of using Internet

I did not know anything about Internet when I was small. In addition I live in rural area so, the connection of Internet did not seem very familiar among citizens there. I was introduced to Internet only when I was studying at boarding school (since Form 1) because at that time there was a computer class so, we learnt the Internet from the beginning. The teachers in-charge taught us how to create an email account as our first lesson. Seriously, I felt very difficult to start off because I never went through of using the Internet before. But  it seems smooth by time to time since I tried to get used to it and found the Internet was so interesting.

Early year 2000s, the connection of Internet was very limited. My father installed the Internet by using dial-up. It took several times to connect to server. The funniest thing that I experienced at that time is I fall asleep when I was waiting the dial-up. LOL.. I started to know how to chat when I was 14th when saw my sister and brothers actively used MiRC to connect with new friends. I tried it too. I addicted to chat until 17 years old and since then I never went there because people were moving forward to use social networking channel. The famous social network at that time is friendster. Nowadays we have many kind of social networkings.

After SPM, I got offer to study at matriculation. During studying there, I was exposed to other function of Internet and information technology. This time I learnt how to create short video and sketching by using paint. It was so excited of using the new knowledge and can still practice it till now. I also was guided by lecturers of invent and create website. I think website is quite complex and need all our effort and creativity to come out with ample ideas to make it interesting. We were asked by lecturers to enter the website competition but, since I did not have any courage or passion, I just pulled out from the competition. All this while, I think I still want to learn more about website and wanted to have my own.

Time passed by and I see there are many evolution of Internet and IT. It is too fast especially the invention and innovation of gadgets like computer, laptops, handphones, softwares and so forth. People can come out with a new model of handphone even every three months. How advance the technology right now, isn't it? If we are at the era of native technology, we need to have basic knowledge in order to avoid us become alienated by others. If we could not to buy or own the new gadgets, at least learn about it to make sure we can get along with others.

So far, I think I can get used to Internet and IT without having any big problems. I can even teach my parents how to use the Internet to get information such as daily news, recipes, watch videos and so on. We can access all the websites free of charge as long as we have the Internet connection. AlsoI can make money through online. A friend of mine already taught me how to use blog, forum and website to advertise my products and get customers through online. It is very simple and I am pretty sure other people can make it too. But, just beware and be careful because there are many hackers and people who abuse the Internet usage. Don't simply trust strangers by giving personal information to ensure we will not be involved any crime  without knowing it.

Therefore, use the Internet wisely for good purposes so that our works can be done successfully. Do not spend too much time on Internet because we tend to surf to unwanted sites and just waste our precious time.    It also can cause eye strain if we use it for long hours. So, try to avoid it. The experience of using Internet such a wonderful time after gone through the difficult moment. At the end I found it is very useful to my daily life. That's all from me..

Online Social Networks

The earliest social networking services available on the Internet were Usenet groups and bulletin boards established to communicate each other about specific topics. As these early Internet users were computer programmers and enthusiasts, they basically focused on technology and computer science. A common feature of these sites was the chat room in which a dedicated web space that let people type messages to each other and receive response in real time.

The social networking site is distinguished from the earlier, simpler community messaging sites by the ways it makes a user's network visible to others. It means we can connect each other regardless where we are located and whenever time it is, as long as we use the same social networking site. Some other earliest service to function were Classmates and Six Degree of Separation.

Many of them are still active for instance Six Degree of Separation, in which allowed people to list their friends for others to view. In year 2003, the list of services had grown to include such a popular services like Friendster and Myspace. Then, the definition of social networking has widened since 1990s. For example Youtube, which is a video streaming website that allows users to form groups dedicated to certain topics or themes. Another extremely popular form of networking  involve massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), such as War Craft. Therefore, I think it is good to use online social networking but remember there lots of pros and cons. In order to avoid any problems, parents must play a crucial role in monitoring their children from the start.

ERP

Today, I'm gonna share with you about Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) which is actually one of the components under Enterprise Information System. When we talk about EIS, obviously it explains on how an organization uses IT or system to ensure the production may run smoothly. Believe it or not, I am pretty sure with this era systems play crucial role in company as well as country. Can you imagine we live without a system?? Everything is gonna be delay and may stuck the company's production. Thus, EIS becomes important tool to help company achieves its goal.

Next, lets move on to ERP which is a centralized all departments by using one standardized system. Initially, it is a computer system support to business. By having this kind of system, it precise rules for every case and easiest way to automate in term of payroll and accounting. Before ERP is introduced, basically we use MRP whereby it is an inventory reordering tool. It also evolved to support planning by using MRP II. Since then, ERP has globally used in our country as well outside. One of the ERP system can be called as SAP system.
The diagram above shows how ERP system can integrate the information to all departments in the organization with stand alone system. Yes, it quite costly especially for small enterprises. But, it worth it for large organization since it has many departments which link and connect each other. Therefore with ERP system, it will ease organization's data to be transferred to other divisions effectively.

Japanese Robotic

The evolution of technology and information system had bring us to new creature, which is called robot. It is awesome!! Long times ago, robots were only displayed on movie and people might think that will not happen in reality. But, Japan did it very well after developing humanoid robots in 1980, including several prototypes that preceded ASIMO. Asada, the team of engineers and brain specialists together with psychologists had succeeded in creating the robot, particularly the humanoid one. Not only that. Besides humanoid robots, there are some other type of robots such as animal robot (Aibo), social robot, guard robot, domestic robot and mobility robot.

The humanoid Japanese robots have special characteristics include abilities like blinking, smiling or expressing emotion to anger and surprise. I am kinda impressed when knowing about the robots' emotions and expression. Amazing right?? I never thought that robots could have that kind of expressions because they are not human. Perhaps, the robots would not have any feeling towards human. LOL..

Together with this post, I would like to share what robot can do by controlling Asimo's motion. You may surf this link. Ok? http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/control/#HWW

Had you ever heard about UniFi before? Well, maybe you know about this kind of broadband. But, what is the function? How it works? What package do they have? I guess not many of us pay attention about these matters.

Telekom Malaysia (TM) had created this super duper broadband after streamyx. UniFi is a broadband service that uses fibre optics to deliver high speed internet, phone and IPTV services to customers' home. The Residential package is a triple play UniFi service which is called VIP. Wow.. VIP!! Is it means Very Important Person??

Actually it is called VIP because it comes with services which are:

               V- Video

iPhone vs. Samsung Galaxy

It is just like a phenomenon!! The evolution of technology had already brought us to the two coolest gadgets in this era which are iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. I don't know why, but most of the youngsters especially native digital have their own iPhone or Samsung or both. They were being proud of showing off their gadgets among themselves, except me ya. LOL!! I wonder what make the gadgets become the coolest compared to other brands. So, lets check it out!!!

Oh no.. I figured out there is a virtual battle between iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. Is it a war?? I guess not, hopefully. I overheard the latest news from the article stated that Apple and Samsung are likely to head straight into stiff competitions doing the rounds that they will launch their latest smartphones, introduced to you... iPhone5 and Galaxy S3 around the same time.

So far, Samsung remains at second place but with rising sales in their smartphones business, the South Korea will look to capture the iPhone number one spot. Is it possible?? Because apparently Samsung reported to have brought in $5 billion, which is only one third of Apple's total earning. But, it seems like it is healthy competition among these two giant smartphone producers. From the articles as well, it stated that Samsung will release its Galaxy S3 in May whereas the iPhone5 is rumored to be released in June or October.

Here, I also want to show a short video regarding the battle between iPhone 4S vs. Samsung Galaxy S II. Had you ever watch this video before? If not, come and see. That's all from me. Enjoy the video!!

Importance of Information System

Information system and MIS  refers to any combination of information technology and people's activities that support management, operations as well decision making. It is not only focus on information and communication technology (ICT) that company or organization uses, but also to the way people interact with with this technology in support of business process.

As for me, a system is very important to our life. Can you imagine if we live without a system? I am pretty sure our daily routine will be delayed since we need to do all things manually. Computer and network are the best alternatives to ease our routine and daily work. Apparently, all level of ages do have their personal mobile phone as well as laptop. We can make friends and do any transaction through Facebook, Twitter, Blog, etc. Do you agree with me? Nowadays, we can do any transaction or deal with anyone by sitting down at home and just one click everything is done! As easy as ABC isn't it?

Not only that actually. the importance of MIS can be seen in the company and organization too. a good information system can facilitate direct communication between firms and suppliers, manufacturers, dealers and marketers. Eventually, they can create a value chain together as though they were in one organization.
